加拿大安大略省27日一架Piper PA-32小型飞机坠毁，京斯敦市（Kingston）警方证实该架飞机坠毁于郊区林地，多人罹难，但并未透露其他相关细节。加拿大国家运输安全委员会（The Transportation Safety Board of Canada）已表示，将于28日上午动员小组前往事发地点展开调查。

综合当地媒体The Whig-Standard及路透报导，当局27日傍晚5时20分接获紧急通报电话后，随即出动直升机到失事地点周边进行搜索，直到晚间8时15分左右结束相关行动。目前已知失事飞机为Piper PA-32隶属单引擎飞机，最多可容纳6人。

官员表示，该架飞机是在美国注册登记，自安大略省的巴顿维尔市立机场（Toronto Buttonville Municipal Airport）起飞后，原定飞往京斯敦市的京斯敦市机场（Norman Rogers Airport，又称「诺曼罗杰斯机场」），但却在途中发生意外。警方表示，目前已与机场保持联系，确认罹难者身分及同行成员之间的关系。
