美国在台协会（AIT）21日上午于脸书上贴出美国国务卿蓬佩奥（Mike Pompeo）于密克罗尼西亚总统高峰会的友台言论，提及「台湾也是民主的成功故事，可靠的伙伴，以及世界上一股良善的力量」，强调会持续支持台湾所做出的决定。

美国在台协会上午分别在脸书、IG上分享美国国务卿（Mike Pompeo）于密克罗尼西亚总统高峰会的友台言论：「Taiwan is also a democratic success story, a reliable partner, and a force for good in the world. As Vice President Mike Pence said: “America will always believe Taiwan’s embrace of democracy is an example to be internationally supported. We respect and support the decision those of you have made to continue to support Taiwan.” Secretary Pompeo speaking at the Micronesia Presidents’ Summit.」

蓬佩奥指出，台湾也是民主的成功故事，可靠的伙伴，以及世界上一股良善的力量，正如美国副总统彭斯（Mike Pence）所说，「美国将永远相信，台湾奉行民主是国际社会支持的典范」；他强调，尊重并支持各位，持续支持台湾所做出的决定。
