夏礼章／60年代红歌手Neil Sedaka 跨界发表古典新作

纽约布鲁克林出生的1960年代红歌手Neil Sedaka (图／达志影像提供) ，10月17日与伦敦交响乐团在皇家阿尔伯特音乐厅合作演出生平第一首钢琴协奏曲，演出的是他自己的作品"Manhattan Intermezzo"「曼哈坦间奏曲」，Neil Sedaka曾于著名的茱莉亚音乐学院主修古典钢琴。Neil Sedaka对音乐相当有天份，从小学就开始学钢琴，中学时代就与擅长作词的Howard Greenfield一同写歌，他们这一对词曲搭挡后来在流行歌坛合作超过二十年，如Neil Sedaka的Breaking Up Is Hard To Do，Connie Francis的Where The Boys Are ，The Captain ＆Tennille的Love Will Keep Us Together都是他们俩的杰作。Neil Sedaka推出过很多受欢迎的歌，1974年Neil应Elton John之邀加入他的Rocket唱片公司，东山再起仍推出过不少畅销曲，他在排行榜名次最好的歌是1962年2周冠军的Breaking Up Is Hard To Do，以慢板重唱的此曲在1975年获得过第8名。 Neil Sedaka在历年畅销歌星排行榜获得第79名，
