《福斯新闻》报导，美国费城当地时间21日约上午4时15分发生大规模爆炸，疑似是一处炼油厂失事，目前还没有伤亡传出，救援单位已赶到现场。从推特上的影片可见，整个城市就像有颗橘色火球在燃烧。

美国宾州费城官员证实，这场清晨火灾发生在拥有150年历史的「费城能源解决方案炼油厂」（Philadelphia Energy Solutions Refining Complex）。目前官方没有提供进一步的细节，还不清楚火灾的详细成因。

据了解，这家炼油厂每天生产33万桶原油，是美国东部沿海地区最大的炼油厂，拥有约1000名员工。爆炸地点位于第31街与Passyunk大道之间，附近还有一家运动中心。

当地时间清晨5时过后，火势已被控制住，不过有几条道路处于封闭状态，包括连接南费城的76号州际公路。NBC报导，爆炸瞬间，附近的房屋都感觉到震动，空中也弥漫着浓厚黑烟。

南费城部分邻居表示，爆炸发生后，有一些碎片从空中降落到街区。有推特网友形容，爆炸发生时，在车内都可以感觉到热气。
