「邀请台湾加入联合国」 白宫网站请愿连署16天破10万人达标

网友本月5日在美国白宫网站「WE the PEOPLE」发起连署，「邀请台湾加入联合国」（Invite Taiwan to join the United Nations），原定5月5日前须达到10万份连署，但21日就已经冲到近10万2000份。依网站规定，白宫必须在请愿活动设立起算60天内，6月5日前回复。
台湾这次因对爆发自中国武汉的新冠肺炎疫情做超前部署，受到欧美日韩澳等国家及媒体肯定，国际逐渐注意到台湾的情况，要求台湾加入世卫组织（WHO）、联合国（UN）等的声浪越来越大。
网友R.C.于5日发起「邀请台湾加入联合国」请愿，内容如下。
台湾是世界的可靠贸易伙伴，也是一个成熟的民主国家。台湾在近期2019新型冠状病毒的抗疫表现中，也提供了宝贵的经验。因此种种，台湾已经让世界知道她能提供富有价值的经验，而不应该在世界舞台上被忽视。
Taiwan is a valuable trading partner to the world and is a mature and democratic nation. Taiwan has offered valuable lessons on the recent battle against COVID-19. As such, Taiwan has demonstrated that it can offer valuable lessons to the world and should not be neglected on the world stage.
请愿发起的16天后达标，连署人数提早14天达标，共10万1704人；白宫应于6月5日前回复。
