比吉斯团员Barry Gibb 登乡村音乐殿堂Grand Ole Opry演出

◄图／翻拍自网路。Bee Gees合唱团仅存的团员 Barry Gibb ，最近实现了他平生最想达成的一个愿望，那就是7月27日到田纳西州纳许维尔著名的电台现场节目Grand Ole Opry参加了演出，当天他和得过Grammy奖的乡村歌星Rick Scaggs一同表演，第一首歌唱得是When The Roses Bloom Again但接着唱的是Bee Gees的名曲How Can You Mend A Brcken Heart和to Love Somebody。Grand Ole Opry是乡村音乐之都纳许维尔WSM电台自1925年开始播出每周一次的一个现场转播的音乐节目，听众还可以到场观赏歌星们的演出，节目至今已有87年历史，原名The WSM Barn Dance「WSM谷仓派对」，最早主持人是George D Hay，因节目在一个古典音乐节目后播出，他开玩笑说接着就请大家听Grand Ole Opry「老大歌厅」的歌吧（相对于高雅歌剧George自嘲乡村歌曲也很不赖），节目后来就改名Grand Ole Opry了。这个节目原先还被地方人士反对，他们担心乡村歌谣会带给外地人对纳许维尔的错误印象，但因渐渐有不少人透过小窗口看歌手们的表演，电台干脆开放观众入场，后来场地亦越换越大。Grand Ole Opry是世界历时最久的广播电台现场转播的音乐节目，每年有近百万人去现场看他们喜欢的歌星表演，知名的乡村歌星如：Hank Williams、Roy Acuff、Randy Travis、Dolly Parton和Garth Brooks等都到Grand Ole Opry去表演过，难怪Barry Gibb要跨界演出，到Grand Ole Opry一偿宿愿了。How Can You Mend A Broken Heart是Bee Gee合唱团1971年4周冠军曲。
