西洋流行歌曲有时候在很特别的状况下写出来，有些甚至在电话里完成，作曲人Steve Dorff替Eddie Rabbitt所写的1979年克林伊斯威特电影Every Which Way But Looes「永不低头」同名插曲就是一个例子。Dorff回忆他打电话给作词者Milton Brown， Milton当时在阿拉巴马州 Mobile ，Dorff只告诉他有一部克林伊斯威特的电影，因为还没看到剧本所以只知道克林伊斯威特开卡车到处跑，车上还带一只大猩猩，还告诉他Jerry Lee Lewis可能会唱这片子的主题曲，要他写歌词的时候记得此人。Milton过了半小时就回电话，而且电话里就完成了这首歌的歌词。后来词曲作者碰面对歌的时候有人建议由Eddie Rabbitt唱这首歌，克林伊斯威特也同意这个想法，制作人Snuff Garrett于是寄了试录带到纳许维尔给Rabbitt，Rabbitt飞到洛杉矶录制了这首歌。▲Eddie Rabbitt。 (图／达志影像／美联社。)Every Which Way But Loose在1978年底推出，在乡村歌曲排行榜曾得到第3名，那是Eddie Rabbitt第13首乡村歌曲排行榜畅销曲，这首歌同时在流行歌曲排行榜获得第30名。Eddie 1941年出生于纽约布鲁克林区，本名Edward Thomas Rabbitt，1998年因癌症去世（53岁），1968年他前往乡村音乐之都纳许维尔发展，1970年因猫王Elvis Presleyl录了他的作品Kentucky Rain而使Eddie Rabbitt渐渐出名，1974-1991年，他一共有43首流行歌曲排行榜畅销曲，包括冠军曲I Love A Rainy Night。
