夏礼章／「英国猫王」Cliff Richard 传递奥运圣火
文／夏礼章在英国极受欢迎并有子爵荣衔的资深男歌星Cliff Richard，这回也参与从希腊到伦敦的奥运圣火传递工作，6月30日周末夜，Cliff爵士在伯明罕跑了分配给他的那一段路程。▲「英国猫王」的Cliff RichardCliff Richard 1940年出生于印度Lucknow，本名Harry Rodger Webb，是一位摇滚乐手、吉它手与演员，在英国的排行榜里他有超过125首畅销曲，其中有14首歌获得过排行榜冠军，在The Young Ones与Summer Holiday等电影的演出，使年轻的他当年在台湾也很受欢迎，因此还有「英国猫王」的外号，前些年另一位英国歌手Englebert Humperdink来台演出，唱片公司以「英国猫王」宣传是完全错误的，以浑厚歌喉演唱抒情曲的Englebert Humperdink又不弹吉它，与猫王有何干系？Cliff Richard在美国的排行榜也有不少受欢迎的歌，在历年畅销歌星排行榜获得第350名，其中名次最好的歌是1976年第6名的Devil Woman，不过对台湾的老歌迷而言，电影主题曲Summer Holiday 是最令人怀念的旋律。
