受欢迎的男歌星Glen Campbell 6月24日在洛杉矶的演唱会里宣布那是他最后一场演唱会，最近Glen Campbell与他三位儿女进行告别演唱会，他的音乐影带A Better Place才刚发行不久。时间过得很快，1975年的此时，Glen Campbell那首动听的Rhinestone Cowboy是他第32首进乡村歌曲排行榜的畅销曲，也是他第4首获得乡村歌曲排行榜冠军的歌 ，Rhinestone Cowboy当年6月7日进榜，后来也获得流行歌曲排行榜冠军，并获得乡村音乐协会CMA的年度最佳歌曲奖，在今年二月12日的Grammy奖颁奖典礼中，Glen Campbell演唱了这首Rhinestone Cowboy向大家告别。Glen Campbell 1936年出生于阿肯色州Delight，是一位乡村流行歌曲歌手、作曲人与出色的吉他手，早年于专业录音室帮许多歌手与乐团灌过唱片，后于1965年加入过著名的The Beach Boys合唱团，1968-1972年有自己的电视节目，1969年曾应约翰韦恩之邀演过2010年重拍过的电影True Grit「大地惊雷」，约翰韦恩当年因该片的演出获得奥斯卡最佳男主角奖，。Glen Campbell 自1962-1993年一共有75首乡村歌曲排行榜畅销曲，在抒情歌曲排行榜也有42首畅销曲，在流行歌曲的历年畅销歌星排行榜则获得第84名的好成绩。Glen Campbell 2005年被选入乡村歌曲名人堂，Grammy奖则于上个月18日颁给他终生成就奖。76岁的Glen Campbell去年发现罹患阿兹海默症，虽然他仍能弹吉他与演唱，但家人显然不希望他在舞台上给歌迷们留下不好的印象，是与大家告别的时候了。
