文／夏礼章以"The Birds And The Bees"这首1965年第3名畅销曲成名的R＆B老歌星Jewel Akens  3月1日不幸于洛杉矶去世（80岁）， Jewel Akens 1933年出生于休士顿，后来搬到洛杉矶，1959年曾组过一个合唱团叫the Four Dots，后来在Era唱片公司的时候，他本来是the Turnarounds合唱团的的团员，但公司决定要他独唱"The Birds And The Bees"那首歌，没想到一曲成名。Jewel Akens后来还有一首"Georgie Porgie"得过第65名，虽然之后在排行榜上不再有好成绩，但他始终努力于演唱工作。▲The Birds and the Bees原唱者Jewel Akens不幸于洛杉矶去世。　(图／翻摄自网路)"The Birds And The Bees"这首歌在民国五十年代后期曾由香港歌星詹小屏Judi Jim 翻唱，常在刚开播的中视音乐节目播出，与另一首Colors of The Rainbow都很受台湾歌友的欢迎。
