衣索比亚航空公司（Ethiopian Airlines）证实，该公司一架载有149名乘客与8名机组人员的波音737班机（航班ET302）10日在飞往肯亚首都奈洛比（Nairobi）时坠毁。而衣索比亚总理穆罕默德（Abiy Ahmed）也在自己的官方推特证实这项消息。

穆罕默德10日在推特上公开这项噩耗，并代表政府与衣索比亚人民向机上旅客与旅客家属致哀，表达最深刻的慰问。据了解，坠机意外发生在当地时间10日上午8时44分，当时ET302正要从衣索比亚首都阿迪斯阿贝巴（Addis Ababa）飞往肯亚奈洛比，怎知却在航经阿迪斯阿贝巴东南方62公里处的比修福图镇（Bishoftu）时发生坠机意外。
The Office of the PM, on behalf of the Government and people of Ethiopia, would like to express it’s deepest condolences to the families of those that have lost their loved ones on Ethiopian Airlines Boeing 737 on regular scheduled flight to Nairobi, Kenya this morning.
