因喉咙出了问题，Art Garfunkel被迫取消2012年剩下的巡回演唱会，Art Garfunkel因病已远离舞台数年之久。为取消10月2日在奥克拉荷马州Tulsa的一场名The Joint的演唱会，Art Garfunkel发了一份声明稿给媒体，他感谢大家买票捧场让演唱会成功，也对取消演唱会对歌迷们致歉。▲图／达志影像提供自从2010年医师发现他的声带有问题，Art就努力配合医疗希望完成康复，Art Garfunkel九月份刚推出双CD的回味专辑The Singer，他告诉记者回舞台表演对他有多重要，他也会感到紧张，因为他想从演出去证明这就是他的人生，他心想如果他不唱歌不知道会变成什么样子？因为他五岁就开始唱歌了，为了证明这种核心价值，他的方法就是继续唱歌。Art Garfunkel 1941年出生于纽约，拥有哥伦比亚大学数学硕士学位，他与Paul Simon合组的Simon＆Garfunkel是民谣摇滚的经典二重唱，但因Art Garfunkel去拍电影导致二人分手，而他个人后来在排行榜中名次最好的歌是1973年的第9名的All I Know。
