美国总统川普24日指出，他会跟北京做一个对中美都互利的贸易协定，如果一切都顺利的话，在未来一、两周内将会有个非常大的新闻。

就在示意完会延迟3月1日的谈判期限后的两小时，川普在白宫对美国州长们说道，「中国一直都很棒，我们要做一个对我们两国都互利的协议，这就是我们正要做的事。」

此外，《新华社》消息也指出，在华盛顿特区举行的第七轮中美经贸高级别磋商，双方在技术转让、知识产权保护、非关税壁垒、服务业、农业以及汇率等方面的具体问题上取得实质性进展。在此基础上，双方将按照两国元首指示做好下一步工作。
