干细胞配对成功！万人验血救癌童奏效 母兴奋喊：活命机率大增

英国一所小学本月初发起捐血配对活动，协助校内的5岁白血病童奥斯卡（Oscar Saxelby-Lee）寻找继续活命的机会，引起当地热烈回响，许多单位更因此出现验血捐干细胞的人潮，多达上万人选择站出来帮助奥斯卡。令人振奋的是，孩子母亲萨克丝碧（Olivia Saxelby）已透过脸书证实，目前有3个人配对成功，大大增加奥斯卡活下去的机会。
《每日邮报》报导，原本活蹦乱跳的奥斯卡先前突然变得非常安静，经常只想躺在沙发上休息，没有胃口，且身上不断出现莫名瘀青，但直到去年12月就医后才发现，奥斯卡罹患急性淋巴球性白血病（acute lymphoblastic leukemia），且必须在3个月内找到匹配的干细胞进行移植，否则病情就会急速恶化，甚至无法保住性命。

消息一出，奥斯卡就读的皮曼斯顿小学（Pitmaston Primary School）决定替他举办捐血配对活动，希望可以借此寻找更多机会，没想到吸引4855人冒雨排队数小时，只为了筛检出能跟男童匹配的干细胞。自此之后，伍斯特市政厅、当地大学、血液癌症慈善机构DKMS纷纷涌现验血人潮。根据统计，多达上万人自愿站出来帮助奥斯卡。
值得一提的是，奥斯卡母亲萨克丝碧如今已在脸书证实，目前已有3个人配对成功，且很快就会进行干细胞移植。她形容，帮助孩子面对癌症的过程有如搭乘云霄飞车，「这是段不断让人感受到心痛、恐惧的过程，但现在！帮助奥斯卡赶走癌症是个多么如释重负且正面乐观的感觉」，并感谢所有支持奥斯卡的人们，「没有你们大家，我们不可能走到今天这一步。」

「我无法用言语来形容我有多么兴奋」，奥斯卡父亲杰米（Jamie Lee）提到，「我们知道这是另段艰辛过程的开始，但我们会一起战胜这一切，让他回到他温暖的家，回归他应该要有的生活。」
除了成功找到配对之外，医师也在上周告知一则好消息，也就是奥斯卡的化疗已有成效，癌细胞正在减少当中。目前奥斯卡正在伯明罕儿童医院进行化疗疗程，并等待即将到来的干细胞移植程序。
