影／李嘉诚中英文回应「黄台之瓜」：年轻人声音震耳欲聋 政府已绞尽脑汁
香港首富李嘉诚今（16）日于多份香港报纸刊登广告，首次针对香港局势表态，这些话背后立场也引起讨论。李嘉诚透过基金会发言人以中英文两版本声明指出，他的心声是，爱中国、爱香港、爱自己；大家一定要以爱之义，止息怒愤，对「一国两制」，以谦和而珍之。

根据《香港01》报导，长和系已证实，在报章刊登广告的确实是已退休的资深顾问李嘉诚。李嘉诚也透过基金会发言人表示，今天以一个香港市民身份刊登广告，主因是他认为，香港长期繁荣稳定系于「一国两制」行稳致远。今日香港，要停止暴力，坚守法治 。时间的长河看不到尽头，人生的路走不回头。
他也透过发言人透露，刊登两个不同广告是基于目前香港形势复杂，难以用单一语言或沟通方法回应，「应以何身得度者，即现何身而为之说法」。而李嘉诚对于政府有何看法，他表示，「现时年轻人给政府的声音和讯息震耳欲聋，政府已在绞尽脑汁」。

而在被问及对于年轻人有何看法，李嘉诚也指出，「投放资源在青年工作，永不后悔，因为投资青年，就是投资未来。不要让今天的激情，成为明天的遗憾。」
李嘉诚在《东方日报》广告为，正如我之前讲过「黄台之瓜，何堪再摘」。另外在《香港商报》的广告，则是在最上方写下「最好的因可成最坏的果」，中间是「反暴力」图样，右边则写着「爱中国，爱香港，爱自己」，左边则是「爱自由，爱包容，爱法治」，下半部则为「以爱之义 止息怒愤」。
「黄台之瓜」典故出自唐代李贤的诗《黄台瓜辞》。全文为「种瓜黄台下，瓜熟子离离。一摘使瓜好，再摘令瓜稀。三摘尚自可，摘绝抱蔓归。」李贤是武则天与唐高宗的儿子，高宗死后，武则天为实现称帝之梦，连番逼害自己的儿子。之前李贤的兄长李弘已遭害，武则天欲再加害李贤，李贤临死前留下此《黄台瓜辞》名诗，他借此劝告自己的母亲武则天，不要再对子女赶尽杀绝。不过李贤最后还是被武则天逼令自杀而终。

It is hard to imagine a better world when the community is highly charged. Violence in thoughts and actions is not a mean to accomplish any vision because they misrepresent, peaceful situations can come to feel dangerous, the percolation thereafter will be self-fulfilling.

I think the government heard the messages from the protesters loud and clear and is diligently racking their brains now for solutions.
Q: What are your views on young people today?
The young always fear the future has nothing to do with them. Investing in our next generation will always bear fruit for our city. Investing in the future matters.
The time and space offered by “one country two systems“ must be safeguarded by mutual deference. Time is an endless river in constant flux, but we cannot step in the river twice, pray we never let today’s passion becomes tomorrow’s regret.
