得到新的面试机会总是令人雀跃又期待,但可别因一时与面试主管聊得开心,就把不该说的话全吐出来。回答每场面试的必问问题「Why did you quit your job?」时可千万别掉以轻心,因为主管不只能借此看出你的责任感、忠诚度还有工作的稳定性!

以下我们就来看各种离职原因的回复技巧,包准让雇主对你充满信心留下好印象。

离职原因1. 组织变动

你想离职的原因或许是因为被调到原主管的死对头底下,新主管处处与你作对找麻烦,但切记千万不要trash talk your manager (谩骂主管),也不要好傻好天真地说「 I’m leaving because my supervisor has always been bullying me and finding faults in me. 」(我新主管老是欺负我、找我麻烦,所以我要闪了),你可以很专业地说:

I have loved my time at ABC Company and am proud of the successful marketing campaigns that I have conceived and managed. However, I think the time has come for a change. We are going through some organizational changes right now and a lot of projects are on hold.(我在ABC公司的时光很快乐,对自己之前构思与掌管的行销活动也很骄傲,但我想是时候该做改变了,因为我们公司正面临一些组织变动,有些专案都停滞了。)

这个回复巧妙地提到自己在前公司的愉快经验,也用了几个漂亮的字汇来透露自己的优秀功绩,成功地conceive(构想)与manage(掌管)marketing campaigns(行销活动)。

与其提到主管多糟,只是轻描淡写的说有些organizational changes(组织变动),也用projects are on hold(停滞)来暗示自己被主管冷冻的情况。

又或者,你可以更简单地说:

When my supervisor left, it made me realize that it was an ideal time for a change and this seemed to be the perfect opportunity to move on as well.(在我主管离开时,让我了解现在正是最适合做改变的时候,也刚好给我一个机会向前进。)

抓住最ideal(适当的)时间点提出离职,又告诉面试主管你想继续move on(向前迈进),是不是让人觉得你积极又忠心耿耿呢?

离职原因2. 裁员风声

近几年经济不景气,有时公司传出将把整个部门裁撤的消息,因此你有绝对正当的理由提前另寻出路,你可以这么说:

The company was downsizing and I thought it made sense to seek another position before my job is eliminated.(公司已经在缩编,在我的工作被撤除之前我认为另寻出路很合理。)

公司在downsize(缩编)趁着现有职位被eliminate(消除)之前寻找新出路,and it makes perfect sense,是个很能令人体谅的合理原因。

离职原因3. 希望成长、拓展技能

这是个最好听但也最难以令人信服的理由,要不就是听起来很笼统,要不就像个借口。到底怎么说才能真诚又得体,让我们看看以下说法:

I’m looking for a new challenge and to grow my career and I didn’t want to job hunt part-time while working.(我正在寻找新挑战让事业能有所成长,但我觉得边工作边找工作很不妥当。)

job hunt part time就是形容有全职工作却又在「兼职找工作」的情况,这么回答完全展现了你的责任感和良心!相信到时你要离开工作岗位也不会愧对现在的公司,绝对让新雇主感到放心。

另一个也很优质的说法:

I have been at my company for three years now and have learned a lot from working with some amazing salespeople. However, I am starting to feel like I need some new challenges. This position really appeals to me because it would allow me to manage a bigger team and sell more innovative products.(我在这间公司已经三年也跟很多优秀的业务共事过,但我开始觉得我需要一些新挑战,而这个职位非常吸引我,因为它能让我管理更大的团队也能让我尝试销售更新颖的商品。)

如此一来便透露出自己良好的定性,在一间公司待了至少三年以上,还会欣赏身边的同仁,重点是称赞了新职位appeals to him/her(很吸引他/她),也看出此人想做大事、不畏挑战愿意销售innovative(新颖)产品的野心,轻松淡化离职的负面因素。
